Paloma Barceló inaugurated its first flagship store last spring in the “hilarious” Spanish capital Madrid. An exhibition space of 160 square meters located in one of the city’s coolest streets, calle Claudio Coello 26, along with other international luxury brands and the most popular restaurants.
The store is divided equally into two areas, at the entrance a large space is dedicated to the main line PALOMA BARCELÓ and the second corner is reserved to the urban line MANUEL BARCELÓ. For the part of the shop dedicated to Paloma Barceló the materials used are the Onyx Gold stone for the shelves and the display tables, Yellow Silva Gold marble for the floors and the coatings of the walls while the space of Manuel Barcelò is diversified by the use of Azul Bateig stone. The gold galvanized brass is the material used for all the display elements, shelves, horns and edges, mirror structures, coatings and door handles, table bases and inlays in the flooring; the walls were decorated with spray and painted raw plaster.
The design has been planned by *MIDE Architects, it is based on a tripartite modular exhibition concept, consisting of three basic elements that are the display, the zenital lighting and the background.
