Mallorca is a tourist destination par excellence characterized by the good weather and its paradisiacal beaches with crystal clear waters.
The island has some of the best holiday resorts in Spain such as the Hotel St. Regis Mardavall and the resort exclusive for adults Gran Meliá de Mar, both located on the edge of the Mediterranean Sea.
For a getaway at any time of the year, our recommendation is the boutique hotel Gran Hotel Son Net, located in the middle of the Tramuntana mountain range, a world heritage site by UNESCO, a place to relax and enjoy its wonderful views. If what we are looking for is a hotel in the center of Palma de Mallorca, our favorite is the Can Alomar boutique hotel, a Gothic palace from the middle of the 15th century in Paseo del Borne. The hotel is ideal to discover the city and do some shopping in some of the best shops located a few meters from the hotel, such as Louis Vuitton or Relojería Alemana, located on the ground floor of the hotel. A few meters from Can Alomar you will find other of the best shops in Palma such as Corner, Maje, Farinelli, Max Mara, Marccain, or El Corte Inglés of Jaime III Street.
Mallorca offers innumerable establishments to enjoy the Spanish cuisine. In the center of the city, there are some restaurants with a Michelin star, such as Adrián Quetglas restaurant and Marc Fosh restaurant. Other outstanding restaurants of the Island are the awarded with two Michelin stars, Zaranda by the chef Fernando Pérez Arellano and the restaurant Es Fum with a Michelin star and located inside the hotel St. Regis Mardavall in Costa d’en Blanes. In addition, we recommend some others that without a star, are exceptional to enjoy a dinner at the edge of the sea, such as the restaurant Flanigan in Puerto Portals, one of the favorites of the king emeritus Don Juan Carlos I, where enjoy excellent paellas and its classic cake of apple with vanilla or Las Terrazas del Bendinat, the restaurant of the Hotel Bendinat located in an unbeatable location.
Among the entertainment options we can visit some of the most charming villages on the island such as the village of Valldemosa, Deiá and Port de Soller, enjoy the wonderful views from the viewpoints of Cap Formentor and Sa Foradada, have a drink in the glamorous Port Portals or take a walk through the center of Palma and get to know the Royal Palace of Almudaina, the Cathedral of Palma and the Paseo del Borne. If we are looking for a quieter plan, we can play golf in some of the best courses in Spain such as Golf Son Gual, rent a luxury yacht and discover the corners of the island and the best beaches such as Es Trenc or Caló des Moro (photo) or rest in a beach club like the Nikki Beach Mallorca or Mahres Sea Club where you can enjoy the sunset.
